CUDDINGTON

Cuddington is a village of around 550-569 people, about 6 miles west of Aylesbury, centred on a village green at the junction of roads to Aylesbury, Long Crendon and Haddenham. The parish church, St Nicholas, dates from the 12th century; across the road stands the 17th-century Tyringham Hall. The village pub is the Crown Inn, and there's a local shop alongside two churches and a recreation ground. Cuddington has previously won the Morris Cup for best-kept village, and past residents have included broadcasters Jonathan and David Dimbleby.

Commuting: around 1.5 miles to Haddenham, with its own railway station, and a few miles to Thame and Long Crendon.

Schools: Cuddington and Dinton CE School serves the village, with links to nearby Chearsley.
