ICKFORD

Ickford is a village of 680 people (2011 census), about 4 miles west of Thame, with the River Thame forming its southern boundary with Oxfordshire. The village pub, the Rising Sun, dates back to the 15th century; a second pub, the Royal Oak, closed around 2000. There's a village shop and post office, and the parish church of St Nicholas.

Commuting: around 4 miles to Thame, a similar distance to Haddenham & Thame Parkway station, with direct trains from there to Oxford and London Marylebone.
